The Role
Principia Advisory is seeking a Senior Associate to join our team in the UK, Europe, or US. In this role, you will spend most of your time working on client engagements, supporting our clients to tackle their most pressing ethical and cultural challenges. Our work is varied and impactful, including conducting in-depth culture assessments using our proprietary methodologies, designing tailored ethical decision-making tools, and providing world-class advice and support on ethical leadership capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a background in consulting, strong research and data analysis skills, a demonstrable interest in ethical and responsible business, and subject-matter expertise in one of the following areas: people and culture, diversity and inclusion, leadership, ESG sustainability, or ethics and compliance (we anticipate that the successful candidate will have focused on these areas in their consulting work or completed postgraduate study in a related discipline).
The role will be based either in the UK, Europe, or US, and will combine remote working with domestic and international client-site travel. You must be fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in other languages may be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Support consulting projects by overseeing workstreams in larger engagements or managing smaller projects end-to-end, with opportunities for growth into increasing leadership responsibilities
- Create and deliver high-quality, impactful client outputs, including presentations, workshop materials, and research reports that inspire meaningful action
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with client contacts through regular interactions and active participation in client meetings
- Support client engagement leads with core project management, responsible for developing work plans, managing timelines and budgets, coordinating team meetings and ensuring seamless project delivery
- Conduct quantitative data collection and analysis to generate insights that inform client strategies and evidence-based recommendations
- Interpret and present findings from qualitative and quantitative data.
Essential Skills & Experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience with a strategy or specialist consultancy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (including skills in quantitative analysis)
- Subject-matter expertise in the areas of responsible business, ESG, compliance and/or risk management, organizational development, or culture change
- Strong client-facing skills with experience engaging directly with clients, ideally including ability to interface with senior leaders
- Exceptional writing and presentation abilities, producing clear, rigorous, and compelling reports, slide decks and presentations
- Proven ability to distil complex findings into impactful and accessible messages tailored to diverse audiences.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Skills and experience in designing and facilitating workshops and trainings; particularly those targeted at senior executives
- Project Management skills, including planning, budgeting and logistics
- Interest and experience in applying academic research to develop consulting methodologies
- Application of AI tools in consulting/project management to increase efficiencies
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques (including infographics).
