Atoosa Kasirzadeh
Specialist Advisor
Atoosa is a Specialist Advisor at Principia, where she applies her academic research on issues such as ethics and philosophy of AI and computing, algorithmic fairness, values in sciences and decision making, and modelling of morality.
Atoosa is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the philosophy department and the Edinburgh’s Futures Institute at the University of Edinburgh. She has also served as a visiting research scientist at Google DeepMind in London and was listed as one of the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics for 2021.
She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Toronto, and a PhD in Mathematics from the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
