Sarah Howe

Sarah is a culture and change leader and practitioner, she has extensive leadership experience in both international corporate environments and consultancy, supporting organisations to transform cultures and behaviours for sustainable growth and/or risk mitigation.
Sarah is a Principal at Principia. She has designed and led many strategic change initiatives – aligning culture with strategy – and also driven impactful change communications and sustainability efforts reporting into CEOs and Boards. Her expertise spans a range of sectors, including technology, professional services and sport, and also highly regulated industries such as energy and financial services.
Sarah now runs a portfolio career. She is a Specialist Advisor for Principia Advisory, an expert in organisational ethics and culture; chairs the ED&I Board Committee and Advisory Group for GB Surfing; is a founding faculty member of The Inclusive Foundations Programme; and advises her own portfolio of clients. Sarah is also a regular speaker and chair at events, with recent topics including: Responsibility & Opportunity for Culture Reporting in the Boardroom; Developing Trust & Influence in Global Networks; Purpose & the Future of Leadership, Bringing a Sporting Lens to the Boardroom; and The Ingredients of an Effective Speak Up Culture. Sarah was also previously a NED for WB Directors prior to its acquisition by Nurole.
Sarah’s most recent in-house position was reporting to the CEO as Director of Global Culture Transformation & ED&I at Urenco, a global nuclear, carbon free energy company. Previously she led diverse teams and P&Ls across the US, Europe, and Asia, advising notable organizations such as Avanade, IBM, Marks & Spencer, Microsoft, Philips, TotalEnergies, UK Government and Zurich Insurance.
